Hey guys over the weekend my bf said he wanted to start eating healthier so i found this really great baked apple recipe and i figured why not share it!
I did mine a bit differently instead of slicing it down the middle i did it from the top...still came out great!
1 apple, cut in half with seeds removed (I used a grapefruit spoon and it worked great)
1 tablespoon melted butter
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon of flour of your choice (i used walmart brand)
2 tablespoons of gluten-free oats (i used plain quick oats)
1 Teaspoon of Your favorite apple pie-ish seasoning of your choice: nutmeg, cinnamon, allspice, cardamom
Handful of raisins, optional
Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees. Melt the butter in a medium bowl and mix in all of the ingredients. Spoon it on top of your apple halves. Put the halves on a baking sheet and put them in the oven for 35-40 minutes until the crisp is crispy and apple is tender.
Took a bit longer in my boyfriends oven bout 45-50 minutes but i wanted the apple to be really tender and the crisp to be well crispy.
certainly he liked it and i will post some more recipes from this weekend later on :D
