One of my favorite poses, the upward dog. I love doing this pose when my back starts to hurt from sitting too much.
This pose is also good for toning your back and getting rid of the nasty bra bulge.
How to do this pose properly:
1. Start by lying stomach down with your legs planted parallel to the floor and your arms by your side.
2. Lift your upper body up and look forwards the sky.
3. Only lift to the point where you feel comfortable. Don`t try to overstretch.
4. Stay in that position for 30 seconds - 1 minute before going back to child`s pose.
I actually woke up this morning at 3 am due to my insomnia. And by 5 am, after tossing and turning, I gave up trying to fall back asleep and did yoga for 30 minutes. This just unkinked my back and woke me up.
