Avocado for dry skin

The avocado fruit comes from a tree native to South and Central America, Mexico, and the Caribbean, and has been cultivated for thousands of years. Once thought to be an aphrodisiac, avocado is now a popular fruit for slicing and eating on sandwiches and salads, and is the main ingredient in guacamole.

Use avocado to treat dry skin
Mash an avocado and spread on the skin, then wash off with a cool washcloth after 15 minutes.

Why It Works
Avocado, a high-fat fruit, softens and moisturizes the skin, and contains vitamins A, D, and E, which hydrate and protect the skin.

Avocado is safe for humans, but highly toxic to pets. Make sure to keep avocado out of the reach of pets. If you have chronic dry skin problems that cause pain, discomfort, localized edema or experience a sudden change in your skin condition, consult a doctor as soon as possible.
