Committed to breast cancer awareness, education and research, our goal is to empower women to fight breast cancer with every bottle of Athena water. We strive to provide the highest quality bottled water while minimizing our environmental impact. We support these efforts through our partnership with American Cancer Society® and through sales of Athena® bottled water.
Athena® bottled water was founded by Trish May who, at the age of 39, was diagnosed with breast cancer. Thanks to the generous support and care she received during her treatment and recovery, Trish not only survived her battle with cancer, but also found her calling as a modern-day warrior who could become a part of the solution. In 2003, Trish founded Athena Partners to produce Athena® bottled water brand, invoking the attributes of the Greek goddess Athenawisdom, strength and purity.

Today, Athena® is part of a family of favorite American brands owned by DS Waters®, a national leader in home and office water delivery. And, true to Trish Mays original vision, Athena continues to raise funds in search of a cure. Athena will contribute a minimum of $1,000,000 to support breast cancer awareness, education and research by 2014. This empowers you and others who care about breast cancer to get involved and keep breast cancer top-of-mind all year long.

Other initiatives include in kind product donations for breast cancer outreach events, employee giving programs, and associate and customer participation in community fundraising events.
