I just heard of this new product, a DIY at home gel nailing kit. This kit is $60, it seems like a lot but if you think about it, normally gel nails are anywhere from 35- 55 dollars at a salon. But with this kit you get 10 manicures for $60. That`s a great deal. The kit comes with only one color to start but you can purchase smaller individual packages with out the other equipment for $12 for 25 manicures. The starter kit comes with; Gel nail color, Gel cleanser, lint free cleanser wipes, double sided nail file, wooden stick, Gel primer, Base and top coat, and a LED light. What`s cool about this is that it comes with a LED light that dries your manicure in seconds without smudging. Also the manicure does not chip or brake for 2 weeks! If you run out of the nail essentials you can also purchase more of them without having to buy the whole kit again. Make sure to use this process with your thumbs first because the LED light can only fit four fingers at a time.
First, prep your nails. You are going to want to clip and file your nails, push back your cuticles, and wipe down your nails with the nail cleanser and lint free wipes to remove any debris or nail shavings left from prepping.
Next, take the Gel primer and prime the edges of your nails. staying away from the cuticles. Let dry.
Then, apply a thin layer of the gel base & top coat. You want to stay away from the cuticles because if you get the top coat on it they will start to harden and hurt under the LED light.
After, put your fingers in the LED light for 30 seconds.
Next, apply the color you have chosen and apply like regular nail polish. If you mess up scrape off the mistakes with the wooden toothpick. Then put your fingers under the LED light for 60 seconds.
Then, apply a second layer of nail color and cure for 60 seconds.
After, put another layer of the top coat and put them in the LED light for 30 more seconds.
Lastly, take a lint free wipe and a little of the Gel cleanser and rub over nails, now your nails are hard has rock.
Enjoy your new chip free nails!
