I don`t cook, but I know how to boil pasta/ravioli/spaghetti. My boyfriend and I`s go easy do it our self dinners consist of pasta, ravioli, spaghetti usually with grilled chicken, steak, or pork and side salad. For tonight`s dinner we tried a different kind of ravioli than what I typically buy. At Trader Joe`s I was reading through the ingredients and this Arugula & Parmigiano Reggiano Ravioli`s ingredients were the freshest and the flour is wheat flour not enriched so I decided to go with this one! This ravioli is basically stuffed pasta with fresh arugula and cheese. Arugula is a herb with a with a peppery mustard flavor and traditionally used in Italian cuisines. This package is enough for two people and was $3. I`ve tried many types of pasta sauces from Trader Joe`s but I decided to try this one instead, Trader Joe`s Organic Spaghetti Sauce with Mushrooms. I bought this sauce because it claims to have mushrooms but I didn`t find any chunks of mushrooms just tomatoes. I believe the mushrooms are finely incorporated which is a plus because I`m not a fan of chunks of mushrooms anyway.
Thoughts? This ravioli is quite tasty, you can distinguish the cheese with vegetable. It`s also my first time trying arugula, I wonder if that herb is sold around the United States. Overall: I would definitely repurchase the ravioli and sauce!
Are you a fan of pasta? If so, what is your favorite kind of pasta, ravioli or spaghetti type? Or how do you like your pasta served? I love side of garlic bread but I`ve been on a bruschetta craze lately!
