Apple Turnovers and homemade crust!

I got into making apple turnovers when i was making mini apple pies. I use the same crust (puff pastry) for the two as their recipies were the same, just different shapes. Incidentally I have finally gotten close my perfect puff pastry crust recipe! After 3 months of pie baking! It`s super exciting, i don`t know if you can tell haha.

So I love how the apple turnovers turned out. They are like a a larger version of the mini apple pies but a smaller version of a traditional apple pie.
It is also because i decided to try out a recipe for apple turnovers that i discovered the joy of adding a little bit of dried raisins and cranberries to my apple pies! It`s one of my favorite parts of this delectable dessert, and certainly something i would recommend to you all!

ps. ingredients for homemade crust are cheap, and it`s not that hard to make (particularly if you have a food processor!). And homemade crust is out of this world. If you have a choice between making some homemade crust and going to the store and getting that frozen sheet stuff, definitely make it yourself. the difference is unbelievable!
Also as a personal tip when it comes to crusts try looking for recipes that have you add in chunks of very cold butter, this is what makes the crust irresistibly flakey!
