Everyone loves getting a new Apple product, and if you have gotten one, usually you are back for more. But is it the products you love or the.smell? Apparently someone thought they should recreate the smell of a new Apple product as it is being unwrapped from its intricate packaging. The group of this creation calls themselves "Greatest Hits" and got help from Air Aroma to create this scent. They ordered fragrance samples with the aromas of glue, plastic, rubber and paper from the south of France and then worked with professional perfume makers to create a fragrance using those scents.
In the end, their noses were pleased:
The scent created for Greatest Hits encompasses the smell of the plastic wrap covering the box, printed ink on the cardboard, the smell of paper and plastic components within the box and of course the aluminum laptop which has come straight from the factory where it was assembled in China.
"Apple fans will certainly recognize this smell," remarked Air Aroma`s Alex Cosic.
Unfortunately most of us, Apple fans or not, will never get the chance to take a test sniff and see if the Greatest Hits fragrance really does smell like a brand new MacBook Pro because was created for an artistic exhibition in Melbourne.
This won`t be available for purchase, it is just an artistic endeavor. Thank goodness, because I doubt anyone would want to wear that scent!
