Apothica Goodies (a haul)

My blog (http://pixiepolish.blogspot.com/)has recently been sponsored by SkinCareRX and through that sponsorship I was able to haul these items. They were purchased with an egiftcard provided by the sponsor. Now that I have that disclaimer out of the way, let`s move forward to the items I chose and received. First, of course, I selected a couple of polishes. I know a lot of bloggers rave about SpaRituals polishes. I had never tried them, myself. I have never even seen them in the supply houses or salons selling them. I spent quite a bit of time searching for swatches of different colors. There are so many that are stunning, but finally I narrowed down my selections to these two. The color on the left is Lustress, which is a shimmer finished coral. I`m really big on the corals at the moment. The polish on the right is Disco Inferno. It is a rich purple with shimmer finish. I find that in the past couple of months I have been more interested in lip and cheek stains. I found a nice selection of Vincent Longo stains on the Apothica site. This is another product I have never tried and when I did some research, there wasn`t a whole heck of a lot out there on these stains. What I did find, though, was good. For that reason I decided to give them a shot. I chose the Vincent Longo Lip/Cheek Gel Stain in Liquid kiss. I have high hopes for this one. The last item I selected was the super popular and raved about Jack Black Lip Balm. I had a horrible time trying to decide the scent/flavor I`d most like to try. I immediately crossed off the minty one. Me and minty gloss/balm/chapsticks don`t mesh well at all. I tend to end up having an ugly allergic reaction to something in them. I was going to get both this one (Lemon & Chamomile) and the Vanilla Lavender one but then I read a review from Vampy Varnish saying she detected more lavender than vanilla. I don`t dislike lavender but I was wanting the vanilla to be the stronger scent/flavor of the two. That was the deciding factor. For that reason, I stuck with just one to start me out and picked the Lemon & Chamomile. I think this product will be a favorite in my house hold (as long as it lives up to the hype) because myself, my husband, and our son have very full lips and have balms everywhere in our house. (by the computer, in my makeup drawer, in the car, in my purse,on our nightstands, etc.... Let`s just say they are everywhere.) With my order, I received three little samples. The first is an Ahava Essential Day Moisturizer for normal to dry skin. I typically have oily skin but with the medications my dermatologist has me on, my skin has been a bit dry and irritated. I`m willing to try this out. The next sample is Nuxe Paris Fluide Merveillance. It says it is a visible expression line fluid that will fill in, smooth, re-plump, and mattify. I`m 25 and don`t have deep set expression lines, so.. I don`t know about this one. The final sample was Pevonia Botanica rejuvenating dry skin cream. Again, not typically oily... but will try this out when my skin is irritated from my medications. So, that is it for my little Apothica haul! I`m extremely excited to try out the SpaRitual polishes. Lustress will probably wind up on my nails in the next couple of days. :-) Have a fantastic day, everyone!
