My dad`s office, where I have been helping out for the past few weeks, happens to be close to beauty outlet store I haven`t visited in a long while. So I decided to take advantage of the close proximity and visit over my lunch break. And boy, was I glad I did!
This place can be really hit or miss, since they rely on warehouse overstock most of the time. This time, they had a bunch of new items, including stuff from Smashbox and The Balm.
I was most excited to see Smashbox stuff at a great discount. I was also excited to see that they had my all time favourite brow pencil, the Smashbox Brow Tech To Go in Brunette. I bought this a long while ago for 30 dollars at Shopper`s Drug Mart, and I have barely made halfway through, though I use it all the time! They had on sale for $19.75 so I thought it would be a perfect opportunity to get a back up!
I also took a look at a lot of The Balm products they had available including the the Rock Star Palette and the Nude `Tude palette. They had them for sale at around 45 dollars each which seemed a little steep. However The Balm is INCREDIBLY difficult to find in Canada - I don`t think I have ever seen it in stores, only online. But considering I wasn`t exactly lusting over any of the items, I decided to skip them. The Balm product I really wanna try is the Meet Matt(e) palette, but unfortunately, no idea if they will get that one in.
I did find some other items to try to though. They always have a large selection of hair products, and this time was no different. They had just a few cans of the L`oreal Elnett hairspray including one can that was `unscented`. My least favourite part of this hairspray is the grandma smell, so I was quick to pick it up to try. Normally cans of this hairspray retail for around 17-20 dollars, so this was a good deal at 10 bucks. They also had stuff from It`s A 10, including a few bottles of the cult favourite Leave-In conditioner. I have never tried it before, because it is surprisingly expensive, but they had these bottles that normally retail for 20 bucks for 12, and I thought I would be a good opportunity to try it out.
When I headed to checkout, i also noticed a small basket of OPI topcoat for 6 dollars a piece. I haven`t painted my nails in a pretty long while since they keep breaking and peeling. I used to use the regular Nail Envy top coat but decided to try the sensitive and peeling version this time. Hopefully it`ll help restore my nails to their former glory!
There was so much stuff at the store this time, I didn`t really get a chance to go through it all since my lunch break is pretty short. I`m going to see if I can go back and look into some of the other items I may have missed or not had a chance to look at.
