I have a problem - I`m addicted to shopping at Old Navy! Is it possible to be addicted to a store? Seriously, every time I check the website, there are a bunch of new items I want to check out!
If you have followed me for more than 5 minutes, you will have seen one of my many Old Navy hauls that I have posted. I just love shopping on their website since they carry tall sizes and plus size - both of which are hard to find in stores. And the best part is, they have an amazing return policy, so if something doesn`t fit, or doesn`t work, I can easily ship back, or even take it to store for a full refund! (which was perfect for this haul, since I`m going to have to return a few of these items)
And once again, they were having a sale for 30% off, right around Black Friday/ Cyber Monday so I couldn`t help myself and placed an order (so as you can guess, Im a little late to post this haul).
Old Navy has some great basics, but they also have pieces that can be dressed up a little. I found this great wrap dress in a tall length with a black and red floral pattern. It`s long sleeve, which make it ideal for colder weather. This came in handy during the holiday party circuit this year lol.
I also found this great sweater with a beautiful filigree pattern on it. I fell in love with it, but alas it wasn`t meant to be. This wasn`t available in the tall length, and when it arrived, it was waaaay too short. Not short enough to be a crop, but not long enough to cover my torso. If I move more than an inch, it creeps up and exposes my belly. Not what I`m looking for to keep me warm in the winter! When I first purchased it there were no online reviews, but now there are a handful saying the same thing! Hopefully they will consider making this in a longer length!
This I`m sending back, which is a shame since the knit is so soft and the pattern is lovely :(.
Speaking of the cooler weather, I also ordered a knit headband and some everyday gloves to help keep me warm. The gloves are great because the thumb and pointer finger have tips that allow you to use your phone without taking your gloves off.
The headband, however is way too tight. Despite being knit, there is no stretch to it. This is also going back - I couldn`t even fit it over my little cousin`s head!
I also purchased this great looking `compression` jacket from their active line. It has a lot of cool detailing that I love, including holes for your thumb at the end of the sleeves, and panels at the waist and in the back to help cinch in the jacket for a more fitten shape. Right now, I`m between sizes since I`ve been losing some weight, but since this was a compression jacket, I stuck with my old size - big mistake! I was swimming in this jacket! The panels became useless since the jacket was too big to be fitted. However, I really like the jacket and the quality (it`s a great casual piece to layer in the cold) so I`m going to re-order in a smaller size.
I did also decide to try their `compression` yoga pants with this order. I am absolutely obsessed with their regular bootcut yoga pants in Tall length. They fit me perfectly, and are super comfortable -I have a few pairs in different colours. So I was hoping to have more success with these `compression` versions, however I just wasn`t as impressed. Considering these are supposed to be compression style, the fabric was very flimsy, almost a nylon material. And unlike my regular yoga pants, these were almost completely see-through! Not impressed! I`m going to stick with my regular yoga pants from now on - these will also be going back!
Despite a lot of the items that didn`t work in this haul, I did still get some stuff I will keep haha! I picked up a basic polo shirt in a deep navy colour, in tall length. This will be great for casual work days. I also picked up a black rib-knit tank top - this is a repurchase for me. I already have a few of these, and the tall length is perfect for me, so I grabbed another one.
I also managed to find these great burgundy pants that were on clearance plus the additional 30%. They were available in my size, in tall and so I picked up a pair, and I`m glad I did! They have a great zip detailing and are cut really well. I may even consider buying them in different colours if they are available - the black or grey pair would be great even for work.
So I smell another Old Navy haul in my future, but after that, I`m going to cut myself off until spring, if I can manage it! C`mon willpower! Lol
Do you have a store that you can`t help but shop at?
