This was the dinner I had made, what, two weeks ago? My boyfriend had mentioned that he really wanted pasta, so while at the market I picked up some of the essentials I`d need to make a quick homemade 20 minute sauce and snagged a box of Barilla angel hair pasta. I love Barilla pasta, I swear they make the best tasting pasta.
I made my pasta sauce by sauteing onions, peppers and garlic. I then spiced up my ingredients before adding in a can of diced tomatoes, a can of tomato sauce and then respiced until it was to my desired flavor. A taste test later, it was done. Such a quick and easy sauce to make, so much better than opening a jar.
While my sauce and pasta was cooking I put some spicy turkey sausage in the oven and let them brown up. When done, instead of just putting it on the plate, I decided to slice the sausage up, layering it over the bed of pasta, and ladling the sauce over the top. It was such a fabulous, filling and hearty meal. One that I ended up recreating later on in the week -- can`t get enough pasta sometimes!
