Android: 5 million users may have virus

Up to 5 million users that use Android may have been affected by viruses, due to the 13 applications that are or have been in the Android Market.

Who moves these numbers is the ComputerWorld website, citing a study by the Symantic. The computer security company identified 13 applications in the Android Market that contain Malware.

Applications that have been Malware on Android Market for a month and to date the article appeared, last Friday, many of the applications were still available in the Android Market.

The Symantic estimates that users will be affected between 1 million and 5 million, is considered the biggest malware outbreak in the operating system from Google.

These viruses "attack" in the most commonly used in Android applications that are installed require more permissions than are required, such as GPS coordinates or change browser.
