First of all , just let me tell you guys that I love this palette. Now let me go over my thoughts on this palette.
This palettes is by Anastasia and it`s the 2015 holiday eye palette. This palette contains 14 eye shadows each around .02 oz. and retails for $35. And is limited edition. The palette itself is made with cardboard but very sturdy and comes with a mirror and a doubled ended brush. On the outside of the cover, there`s a silver colored plaque that says Anastasia. The whole packaging is just really sleek.
The colors are as described as :
*Pink Champagne- rose gold with titanium finish
*Dark Plum-dark plum with metallic finish
*Self Made-deep bronze with satin finish
*Witchy-kakhi gray with a sparkle finish
*Blush-light beige with a duo chrome pink finish
*Blossom-lilac pink with a metallic finish
*Buttery-beige with a ultra matte finish
*Deep Purple-amethyst purple with titanium finish
*Treasure-light champagne with a metallic finish
*Hot & Cold- rum brown with a metallic finish
*Sherbet- ultra light peach with a satin finish
*Isla-sea foam green with a dual chrome gold finish
*Spirit Rock-gladly black with a sparkle finish (looks like it has purplish sparkles)
*Hot Chocolate -rich cocoa brown with a ultra matte finish
These eye shadows are so buttery and smooth and soft. When I used these shadows to do my eye makeup, I noticed there was barely any fallouts compared to my other eyeshadow palettes like the Naked and Lorac Pro palettes. They are really pigmented. It does not say you can use them wet, but i have with colors such as Pink Champagne and Witchy and it makes the color even more beautiful. I`ve already created three looks with this palette, even with the color Isla which is described as sea foam green. Lately I`ve been gravitating towards this palette more and have not even touched my other palettes. I love that this palette has neutrals and pops of color. A very versatile palette indeed. This is definitely a travel friendly palette. Why, because it has different shades where you can do multiple looks. Not just neutrals.
Now the duo ended brush that comes with it is ok in my opinion. I like the flat shader part but not amazed with the crease side. It`s not really soft and I can definitely feel the bristles when used in my crease. But it`s still s good brush to have on hand. And I heard from a youtuber that if you look closely, these shadows are sectioned off in quads.
Price wise, $35 is definitely a great deal. I mean you get 14 eye shadows and they are buttery and soft. Really pigmented and a assortment of colors. I just wish this wasn`t limited edition.
So my final thought.... I loooovveee this palette and I might just buy another as a backup, but I have so many other palettes I need to use up. Wish this had came out before I bought the other palettes. If I don`t end up buying a backup, I`m definitely gonna see what Anastasia comes out with for the next 2016 palette. I`m so impressed by her palettes now. She has since improved on her palettes, since I read not so good reviews on her previous palettes. I`m so excited as to what she comes out with next. I`m already saving up money for it!!! You can tell how giddy I am....lol
So if you`re missing a gift for someone who loves make up or are just starting out on makeup, you should definitely get them this palette. I see that it`s still available on the Ulta site. I also see that it`s available at Nordstrom and Macy`s! And I myself like this better than the Naked and Lorac palettes even though this has less product than the Naked palettes and two less shadows than the Lorac.
