As you may know, I am the type of person who loves being active and trying new exercise routines! However, there are times where I get super busy and have little time to work out. I bet a lot of you feel the same way sometimes as well!
This is where a Tabata workout comes in!! Tabata workouts can be as short as 4 minutes and are super effective in helping you burn calories and stay fit!
Here is a very simple yet calories torching workout that I enjoy doing when I am short on time!
20 sec. Jumping Jacks.
10 Sec Rest.
20 Sec Mountain Climbers.
10 Sec Rest.
The key to getting the most out of a tabata workout is the intensity you have when preforming your exercise! In those short 20 sec. where you are either doing jumping jacks or mountain climbers, you must give it your all to get the most out of your workout. That burst of energy you have in that short period of time is what helps burn calories and speeds up your metabolism.
-Try doing this workout to a song that you love. Since the workout is only 4 minutes, you could find a song that is long enough to play during your workout!
-This isn`t a must, but doing this workout in the morning can be very effective in revving up your metabolism!
-Make sure to give it your all each round.
-Focus on the current round you are doing and give it your all instead of worrying about the others.. remember that you do have a short rest in between rounds!
