New to the drugstore cosmetic isle are the Almay Intense i-Color Shadow Sticks ($7.99 USD) available in four shades that correspond to your own eye color (they are supposed to make your eyes pop using color theory)this one is for hazel eyes however there are also ones for blue, green and brown eyes too. A little stick with some big promises Lets check it out!
I think having two shades of product in a single tube is always a bonus- one less thing to lose right? The plastic is pretty sturdy, but I feel like the caps are a little flimsyyou know, the kind youll lose time after time in your makeup bag until they magically disappear one day. Each individual color twists up to reveal a decent amount of product, which is nice because it means no sharpening (and no wasted product)!
Each end is basically the exact same formula and texture, just in a different shade. They are a firm cream eyeshadow product, similar to a NYX Jumbo pencil, however these are much more sheer. In fact, they are quite lacking in the pigmentation department so much that I could still see veins and discolouration from my eyelids even when wearing the product. They go on smoothly and blend pretty easily, but then againyou can barely see it in the first place.
Almay claims that these eyeshadows are crease-proof and have all day wear. Well, Im happy to report that they sure do! I wore them for a good 8 hours with absolutely no creasing (no primer, no eyeshadow on top, just alone)! So I guess thats good- they stuck to their claim, however I probably wouldnt wear these alone simply because the lack of pigment. Im not sure how the other shades fare (could have just been the pink in this one that was barely visible)
At $7.99 USD, thats really not a bad price for two shades of cream/stick eyeshadow, especially ones that really hold true to the crease-proof claim (cant say that for NYX Jumbo pencils, thats for sure) but Im curious to see if the other shades are anymore pigmented or noticeable on the eyes. Did the pink & brown combination make my hazel eyes pop? Not really..but then again, Ive never been a fan of the make your eye color pop marketing technique anyways.
Price: $7.99 USD

Overall: An inexpensive stick eyeshadow duo that wears nice and doesnt crease, however its seriously lacking in the pigmentation department! All in all, a bittersweet product that lives up to its claims, but not to my expectations!
