I`m sure you all heard of prisons and probably wondered how solitary a prison can be.
This here is the prison of `Alcatraz`, and apart from its fiction-like name, it is pretty much the most solitary prison you`ll ever see!
Alcatraz Island is located near San Francisco, it was discovered by Spanish explorer Juan Manuel de Ayala, in 1775. This island has been used as a prison for many years detaining 1567 prisoners. The island is known as `impossible to escape` which is one of its legendary traits. We can tell this by examining that the small island is isolated by the sea which surrounds every corner!
You are probably wondering why it`s still not in use- well that is because it will take a lot of money to remodel and it now serves as a tourist attraction.
