One thing you have to know about me, is I love a good cup of tea, and I LOVE afternoon tea and cupcakes : )
Iv been to quite a few places in London for afternoon tea, The Savoy, The Ritz, The Sanderson Hotel, so i think of myself as a critic whenever I try a new one! I love how dainty and ladylike it is, and how it kind of symbolises girly afternoons, watching people go by and having a good old chinwag and putting the world to rights all while enjoy a lovely scone or two.
Saturday my good friend Sarah decided we would go to The Mayfair for afternoon tea for her birthday, as its very trendy there at the mo, great for celeb spotting and the decor is very modern.
Obviously there was 7 of us, but i was astounded by the amount of food, and the presentation.
and the price was very resonable, only £23.50 ahead which i think you will agree is very good value.
I loved how The Mayfair kind of did their own take on afternoon tea- there was the traditional scones and clotted cream, finger sandwichs and small cakes, but they added their own individual touch such as macaroons, trifle and lemon slices, as well as some lovely baguettes. Very impressed and i thoroughly reccomend it! Perfect for a birthday or special occassion, or even if you just fancy something lovely!
