I have been using African Shea Butter for a couple of years now and I absolutely love it! It is the most moisturizing lotion I have ever used and makes skin look and feel amazing. I was first introduced to this Shea butter by my dad`s friend who came over one day with a container of it for my mom and I to use. Before, I had noticed that he had been looking a lot longer. He told me that it was because of this lotion. Well, my mom, my sister, and I used it throughout the summer and it kept our skin moisturized. We used it so much tthat we had to buy a giant tub of it, which is now sadly gone again. The lid of the Shea butter tells of the affects and uses of the African Shea butter. It says, "African Shea Butter is made from the nut of the African Shea tree. It contains a rich amount of unremovable fatty acid which renders it far superior to Cocoa butter and other natural vegetable butters. This fatty acid is crucial to rejuvenating and moisturizing the skin. Shea Butter provides all the essential vitamins needed to make skin look and feel smoother, softer, and most importantly, healthier. Its therapeutic properties protect skin from wind, cold, sun, and it helps heal wounds faster. Shea Butter stimulates cellular activity, fights the effects of aging and repairs rough, damaged skin.
USAGE: 1. Treatment of dry skin, eczema, and minor burns
2. Pain relief from swelling and arthritis
3. Improves muscle relaxation and stiffness
4. Sunscreen, due to its rich contents of vitamin E and F
5. Treats dark spots, skin discoloration, stretch marks, wrinkles
6. Massages, diper rash, and as a hair conditioner
Shea Butter does not expire. Store in a cool place"
The consistancy of the shea butter is solid but it melts in your hands when you rub it in. It has a natural sweet smell that takes some getting used to but it isn`t too strong. I would not recommend using the Shea butter as a conditioner, unless you melt it into your conditioner and only put it on the tips of your hair. When I tried it on my hair it left a residue that was greasy feeling. It may work as a hair treatment before you wash your hair, however. This stuff is amazing! Its definitely worth the money. You can buy it on Amazon. (Refer to my skin carand foundation routine for a recipe for a face lotion that iI make with African Shea Butter. Its great) Thanks for reading!
