Adding a pop of color on your nails for fall is a great way to brighten up an outfit or look that may otherwise be full of darker hues and shades as we begin to approach that colder weather (after all... winter is coming!). The other day, I decided to add a nice, bright pop of color to my nails after months and months of not having them painted. The result made me very happy!
I chose Revlon`s Tropical Temptation - a lovely coral shade that would definitely look amazing in summertime, but that I thought would really bring a pleasant burst of color to my looks and outfits lately. I bought the polish a couple years ago during one of CVS`s clearance sales - it was 75% off and is definitely a color I love!
I first applied a Sally Hansen base coat, then painted 2-3 layers of the Revlon polish onto my nails. I`m always terrified that my polish won`t dry properly, so I tend to do thinner layers, which is why sometimes I need more than just two layers. Once completely dry, I added on a clear top coat and let dry. The result? Fun and brightly colored nails!
I contemplated doing some glitter detail on my ring fingers but decided to forgo it and leave them plain. It`s been a few days and the polish is still holding up pretty well! :) I have the feeling that I`m entering a nail-painting phase now, lol. So I`ll probably be painting them every couple weeks or so.
What is your favorite color to use on your nails during fall? I do tend to go for more greys and deeper reds, but a light color is just too cute to pass up sometimes!
