I headed to New York yesterday and I am still there now living over my family`s house! When I got to the city finally, I was starving. Unfortunately, dinner for me wouldn`t come for another 5 hours!!! (my cousin already made reservations so...)
Luckily, being in the city, there were many people on the streets selling food!! I saw lots of people selling hot dogs, burgers, and all those things, but I wanted something different. I walked around for a while and stumbled into this little booth.
The smell coming from the booth was amazing! There was a person behind the booth making something called "jin bian" I have eaten this before and I call this dish the chinese crepe. It basically is just that, but with different ingredients. The filling of this is chinese fried dough (yao jar "ghost") with their special sauce (which was a bit spicy since I think it had hot peppter in it.) It was super Yummy that I had to get 3 of them to calm my hungry tummy!!!
Have you ever had chinese crepe before?
Don`t you just love the food you can find in the city? I know I would never be able to find these on the streets back in my home!
