9 out of 10 iPhones sold in the U.S. are iPhone 4S

Apple was the most profitable, taking into account the competing Samsung and Nokia, and has much to thank the iPhone 4S, which sold nine units in 10 sales.

Who moves these numbers is the AllThingsD site, according to a survey. According to the website, the iPhone 4S is a favorite of the new purchase, but from afar. This is counting the days since the launch of the iPhone 4S in the U.S. on 14 October.

These numbers reveal, indeed, the importance of an Apple product when it is released and also the marketing power of the company. By the way, these are not the only numbers to be taken into account.

The same survey, 19 of the buyers already owned an iPhone 4 and wanted to upgrade to the iPhone 4S. Of the total number of buyers, 42% have completed contracts with operators in order to acquire the new Apple smartphone. Still, 19% have sold the iPhone 4 individuals.

About the versions sold the iPhone 4S, 45% purchased the 16GB version, 32GB of 34% and 21% bought the 64GB version.

How Apple can not make profits astronomical? If this happens with the iPhone 4S, what will happen on the iPhone 5?
