85 Degrees Bakery Cafe

A little over a month ago, 85 Degrees Bakery Cafe open a branch within 15-20 minutes driving distance from me. I am always in the area, but every time I attempt to stop by the lines are literally wrapped around the block. What`s the hype right? Finally today randomly since I got off work and was with my boyfriend, I decided to drop by and it wasn`t crowded - give or take about 5 people in line! However, the selection was very limited as everything was sold out! I really wanted to try taro sweets, but the wait was 30 minutes to 2 hours, forget it! I just decided to grab a few sweets and headed to the check out line.

Which sweets did I pick out?
- I was hoping macarons would be there as they`re my favorite but sadly, nope so I went with my next best which are cream puffs! These cream puffs come in a pack of 2, packaged in a plastic box! These babies are filled with custard cream filling, so delicious!
- Matcha Red Bean Roll - Matcha which means green tea in Japanese flavored in sponge cake with cream filling and red beans mixed. I don`t know what I was thinking but the flavor wasn`t something I liked. My boyfriend on the other hand enjoyed this roll and thought it was a light subtle dessert.
- Lastly, I picked up a white chocolate macadamia nut cookie. It had an Asian twist in my opinion or I had that Matcha Red Bean Roll in between and just didn`t like the cookie.

Overall, I only enjoyed 1 of the 3 sweets I picked out. Maybe, I`ll try again when more items are in stock and I would like to try one of their cakes too but so far, I didn`t have a pleasant experience.

Have you visited 85 Degrees Bakery Cafe? Any favorite choices you`d recommend?
