This 5 year old is seriously making me feel bad about the time i was 5.
Alex Herr is the daughter of Patricia Ellis Herr, a mountain climber, and she decided to join her mom in mountain climbing and climbed the New Hampshire`s White Mountains with 40.000 feet, reaching the 48 high peaks of the mountains making Alex the youngest person ever to do that. In case you might be thinking that maybe her mom took her on her back or with some help, Alex did all the climbing by herself with her sister, who is 6.
I wish i had that motivation to climb mountains when i was 5. I think, even though it can have its dangerous side, its a fun and healthy inspired activity and im sure that the kid will grow up to be very active if she has the will power to climb the mountains.
Patricia Herr also made a book about the adventure called "UP: A Mother and Daughter`s Peakbagging Adventure".
What do you think of the story?
Did you climbed mountains when you were 5?
Do you go on hikes now?
