So I headed to Rite Aid today to check out the BOGO 1/2 off Ecotools brushes in search of a new kabuki brush but instead I came home with some new nail polishes!
While browsing around the nail polish area I saw that Wet n Wild came out with a new line of nail polish. I had never used Wet n Wild polishes nor was I planning on buying any but right behind the new display were two sale "tubs" with Wet n Wild products, mostly nail polishes (and one bronzer that was obviously tested). And even though the ones on sale were in different packaging, their "new" stickers were still in tact. And better yet right next to those "new" stickers was a price tag for 50 cents! How amazing is that!! So I squatted by the little tubs and pretty much took one of each color that was left. And let me mention, there wasn`t that many left :(
When I got home I was soo excited to try out my new polishes. I didn`t know what to expect since I`ve never tried Wet n Wild polishes, but I have used the NYC ones and those are decent for their price! Well I`ll just say now, these polishes apply so unbelievably streaky. I`ve never had a polish soooo streaky. And it didn`t get any better after the 2nd coat. But after the 3rd coat it smoothed out, and the top coat made the streaks do a disappearing act. Here I used the Rimmel top coat, which, I will add, is a decent drugstore top coat. Perhaps it could be this certain formula, maybe the black will be better with the streaking since it is a shimmery formula. But I guess it doesn`t matter since in the end the streaks were unnoticeable.
The colors I got were Blackmail (black with pink microglitter), Tropicalia (neon pink), Private Viewing (nude with the tiniest silver microglitter), and Haze of Love (deep mauve). Swatched is the Tropicalia. While in the picture it just looks like a coral/pink, in real life it`s a true NEON pink with a hint of orange. And I`m just loving it. It`ll be such a fun color for the summer! I`ll be posting swatches and reviews of the other colors soon!
&&& of course you guys should definitely check out your local Rite Aid! And pick up a nail polish or two, might as well give it a try for 50 cents! Wouldn`t hurt! :)
