1.Protect lips from the sun. Because lips have a minimal amount of melanin, they have no natural defense against the sun. so in the morning just apply your regular face sun protector or a lip balm with SPF.
2.Make sure to drink plenty of pure, filtered water or spring water throughout the day.
3.Avoid using any lip balms with phenol, lanolin, parabens and anything with a fragrance. No botanicals either. People can be allergic to many ingredients- even those from plants. Phenol is often used in lip balm. It feels soothing when you first put it on but it can be irritating and cause the skin under the lips to peel.
4.Honey is considered best for Soft and Pink Lips.It is also very helpful for cracked lips and provide them moisture. Apply Honey before going to bed and it will give you soft and smooth lips.
5.If you have dry and cracked lips then rub a piece of cucumber on your lips it will heal your lips and make them soft and smooth.
