3D Fish Paintings - The most realistic paintings ever

I think that art that plays with our perception and creates illusions are the best, especially because i really like to see the tricks of optical illusions.
This is a perfect example of that type of art. These 3D fish paintings were created by a Japanese artist called Riusuke Fukahori and what he does is he gets those kinds of of wood containers/buckets, then puts a liquid resin in it and waits to solifify so he can then paint the fishes in it. But even the way the fishes are painted is different because its made with different layers, so the process is repeated more than once and it creates these very realistic fishes that you see.

I think the work of the artist looks great and the fishes look very realistic, its like they are real.

What do you think of these 3D/layer paintings?
