3 Cheese Stuffed Ricotta Shells

I was on facebook the other day and came across a picture of one of my friends dinner. She made a tasty looking meal and for some reason i kept going back to that picture thinking, "that looks so freakin good"..after creeping on her picture 4-5 times i decided i would attempt to make my own version of what she made: 3 Cheese Ricotta Stuffed Shells!

I`ve never made anything with ricotta cheese before i was a little nervous on how to season it and cook it fully. After getting some advice from a few co workers, looking recipes up online and reading the back of the Shell noodles box i finally decided to make it!
I boiled the shells and let them cool on cookie sheet. Then i took the ricotta cheese, mixed it into a bowl with black pepper, a small hand full of bread crumbs, orgegano, tiny bit of garlic salt, and parmesan. After the shells were cool i stuffed each one with the ricotta mixture. I then took red sauce and poured a small amount to the bottom of my baking dish so the shells wouldnt stick..after that i placed the stuffed shells in a row and poured the remaining sauce over them.
I baked the shells for about 30 minutes covered in tin foil. Afterwerds i added some mozzarella cheese on top, and let it bake for an extra 5 minutes until the cheese on top was melted.
This dinner was good but i do have to say that the ricotta cheese inside the shells was a tad bit bland. Not as flavorful as i had expected it to be. Also, the ricotta was kind of lukewarm, even though i cooked it for the suggest amount of time :/ My boyfriend loved this dinner and ate the left overs the next day.
