I have a iMac at work and at home so I have been using this computer consistently for about the last year. I wasn`t sure whether to go for a laptop, mac mini to save money, or a iMac in either the 21" or 27". For work I didn`t have a choice on the size, but at home I ended up with the 27" iMac because if you go to the store and play with both, it is impossible to say that the extra screen space isn`t amazing. If you don`t use the computer for graphics, or maybe don`t use your home computer all that much, then it might not be worth having the 27" screen. It actually seems really obnoxious at first, if you aren`t used to that big of a screen. If you do a lot of graphics work, say in photoshop, then it is definitely worth looking into the larger monitor. I have to say it is the best computer I have had. My Mac`s last on average 10 years and have never died - the only reason I end up buying a new one is because the technology is outdated, not because of any hardware problems.
