24 hours meal?

Monday was the biggest Barbecue day of the year in the country!
Memorial Day!
I spent the day doing just that, slaving over a hot grill. My mom told me she had been wanting to try grilling a brisket, so that`s what we did.
I actually started the marinade on the brisket around 3pm the day before.
I used a McCormick Grill Mates rub. The one i used is Cowboy.
I let that Marinade until about 10:30 the next morning.
My mom and I started the Charcoal grill around 9:30 am it took about an hour to get the coals white and hot!
I let it cook for three hours closed before i checked on it, then i flipped it and added a few new coals then put it back on for another two hours and then i took it out of it`s foil and laid on the grates. I let it cook for two more hours and checked the internal temperature and it was a perfect 180 degree`s.

I took it in the house and sliced it up. it was a little difficult to slice, i would say it was more awkward.
Flavor wise the outside was nice and flavorful. The rub had a smokey peppery taste with bite to it. it wasn`t to spicey though, it was really good.
The meat was nice and tender too, i was nervous especially after slicing it up, but it was really good.

I`m really proud of my brisket!
it turned out really well.
