As I mentioned in my latest home decor haul, I made a special purchase this weekend at Ikea. I will tell you guys more about later on today in another post but for now I wanted to talk about this awesome lighted mirror I picked up last evening at Costco.
Other than Target, my other happy place is Costco. You can find amazing deals on just about anything: food, clothes, makeup, furniture...etc. A few months ago I remember telling my husband that as soon as I purchased a vanity table that I would run back to Costco and get the vanity mirror to go with it. A vanity table isn`t complete without a mirror, and if it`s one that is lighted and can zoom into your face and show you all your flaws such as your clogged up pores....then that`s just fantastic. lol. Crap, I think I just spoiled my surprise....yes I got a new vanity table! Will show that later on today as soon as I take pictures for it...
Prior to finding this one at Costco I had been looking at the ones sold at Bed Bath and Beyond and they can get a little pricey and weren`t half as nice as this one. I mean, this baby is huge! And it looks like it cost me a fortune. Vanity mirrors in this price range are usually smaller and are not lighted.
-Dual 1x-8x magnification (one side is 1x the other is 8x)
-Shows true to life color
-10,000 hour bulb life
The fact that it comes with a bulb that has a 10,000 hour life pretty much sold me. I did the calculation and if you were to turn on this mirror everyday for one hour , the bulb will last you a good 27 years. Pretty amazing. I never really do my makeup at night unless I am going somewhere so this light might even last me more than that.
So if you are looking for a nice vanity mirror that is very inexpensive but doesn`t look cheap, check out your Costco.
