Zoya Nail Polishes was founded in 1986 by a couple who immigrated to the US from Russia. They wanted to make a long wearing polish that was also toxin free. As a matter of fact, Zoya was the first to remove toxic ingredients such as toluene, camphor, formaldehyde and DBP (dibutyl phthalate) from its formulations. Zoya polishes are considered higher end polish, comparable to OPI. Each polish costs $8 for .5fl oz/15ml and can be found at their website, beauty supply stores, spas, and nail salons.
I`ve seen ZOYA around for a while but never really thought of trying them out because I was always a fan of OPI polishes. I decided to finally buy these 3 Zoya polishes because after wearing OPI for a while, I realized that OPI polishes chipped rather quickly. Now, I can honestly say that ZOYA polishes are my favorite!!!! The formula seemed a bit runny at first but it sure beats a formula that`s too thick. The runnier consistancy is easier to apply since it coats the nails more smoothly. The polish was opaque and you only need a max of 2 coats. The color comes off true to what you see from the bottle. Their color selections are sooooo pretty, bold, unique, and fun. They have regular collections that come out as well as collaborations with fashion designers like Cynthia Rowley and Peter Som. So I saved the best part for last.... the reason why ZOYA polishes are now my favorite is because the wear time is awesome. They lasted me a good week without any chipping. These polishes lasted a lot longer than, OPI, China Glaze, MAC, Essie and most drugstore polishes.
The website is very informative because it will actually tell you what the `intensity` of the shade is. (Example from 1-5)... 1 being sheer, and 5 being opaque. It will also list the color tone for you like if its a cool tone or warm toned polish color. It tells you what finish it is such as cream, metallic, frosted, etc.
Check out the source link and see all the beautiful color selections. I would highly recommend you try at least one ZOYA polish out and judge for yourself. You wont be disappointed!!
