You don`t have to slave over your stove or spend an immense amount of money to fake a fancy dinner. The key is to keep things simple. So over the weekend I did a steak and `mashed potatoes` dish, with the mashed potatoes being mashed cauliflower instead (keeping things clean and healthy).
For the mashed cauliflower, it looked and tasted so delicious, I didn`t miss the potatoes at all. Just boil up a head of cauliflower florets in some chicken broth and water mix for about 35min. Then blend it all up with plenty of garlic, a few teablespoons of ghee, and salt and pepper.
As for the steak, I fancied it up with a shallot red wine sauce. Simple take the remaining steak fat, shallots and a cup of red wine on High heat until it has reduced down.
