It`s me Christina today, bringing you 10 DIY face masks!
This is great to do at a slumber party or with your friends and family!
1. Avocado Yogurt Mask (Dry Skin)
Puree 1 ripe avocado and mash it up in a small bowl with a fork until there are no lumps. Then, add 4 tbsp of plain yogurt to your avocado and mix well. Apply the mask onto your skin eveny and leave it on for a good 30 minutes. Then, rinse off with warm water.
2. Egg Honey Mask (Dry Skin)
In a small bowl, mix 1 egg yolk (yellow part) with 2 tbsp of pure (preferably organic) honey. You should end up with a light paste. Apply the hydrating mask to your face and neck but be careful to avoid your eye and mouth area. Let the mask sit on your skin for 10- 15 minutes and rinse of thoroughly with warm water.
3. Tomato Mint Yeast Mask (Oily Skin)
Boil one ripe red tomato in hot water. Once cooked, let you tomato cool then peel it. Crush the tomato in a smal bowl and make sure to remove the seeds. Then add 1 tbsp of peppermint leaves, 1tbsp of dried yeast, and 1tsp of lemon juice into the tomato. Mix the mixture until you get a nice consistency. Then apply to your face for 10 minutes. You will notice the best results if you do this 3 times a week.
4. Peachy Cream Mask (Normal Skin)
Cook one medium peach until soft and mash it with a fork. Then add 1 tbsp. of honey and a little oatmeal until its a think consistency. Apply the paste to your skin and let sit for 10 minutes. Rinse well with cool water.
5. Apple Mask (normal skin)
In a blender, process 1 cored and quartered apple. Then add 2 tbsp of honey and ½ tsp of sage. Refrigerate for about 10 minutes. Apply the mixture onto the face with a light tapping motion, until the honey feels tacky. Leave mask on for 30 minutes, then rinse with warm water.
6. Coconut and Pineapple Mask (combination skin)
Mix 1 tsp of warm coconut milk with 1 tsp of cornstarch and 1 tsp of pure pineapple juice in a small bowl. Once you get a nice and smooth consistency, apply the mask to your clean face and let it sit for about 15- 20 minutes or until dry. Rinse off the mask with warm water.
7. Olive Oil and Avocado Mask ( sensitive skin)
Mask twice a week by combining 1/2 tsp of extra-virgin olive oil and 1-1/2 tsp of mashed avocado. Chill mixture briefly in fridge, then massage into skin and leave on for 5-7 minutes. Remove mask with a damp soft cotton cloth.
8. Lemon Mask (dry skin)
Mix 2 egg yolks and1 tsp of olive oil, and 1 tsp of lemon juice. Wash your face, spread on the mixture, leave on for 10- 12 minutes, and then wash it off with luke- warm water.
9. Oatmeal Banana Yogurt Facial (dry skin)
Cleanse face, steam, splash with cool water and pat dry. Massage with 1 tbsp of dry oatmeal and then rinse off. Then apply a mask made by mixing 2 ounces yogurt and ½ a banana; spread evenly on face. Leave on for 20 minutes; rinse off with warm water.
10. Cucumber Mask (oily skin)
Puree ½ a cucumber, 1 egg white, 1 tbsp of lemon juice, and 1 tsp of milk. Add all of you ingredients into a small bowl and mix everything together until you get a nice consistency. Apply the mask onto your face for 15-20 minutes and rinse it off with luke- warm water!
