I have another confession to make. . . I am a nail polish hoarder. Okay so maybe not a hoarder per-say because hoarders usually hoard junk (and nail polish is NOT junk) but I do have quite the extensive collection of nail polish.
When I heard there was a monthly nail polish subscription website called Julep I thought that was great and all but at $19.99 per month, not a price I wanted to pay. However, I signed up to their newsletter just in case they ever had any deals I could get notified about.
If you have never heard of Julep Maven, they are basically like Brichbox in which every month you receive a box of goodies. Unlike Birchbox, this monthly subscription of $19.99 and you get to know what you will be receiving ahead of time. The items you receive are all nail polish related and are all full size. You are more than welcome to skip a month just like with every subscription website.
A few weeks ago they had a 1 cent deal but I totally missed out on it but just a couple days ago they sent me an email to purchase a Julep Maven box for only $1. That was not a deal I was going to pass up! So I hurried on over to their site, took their silly style quiz and picked out the set I wanted to receive. I chose the "Classic with a twist" box which came with 3 products.
Meryl Julep Nail Polish- a gray neutral creme
Oscar Julep Nail Polish- multi-dimentional gold glitter
Julep topcoat for hair- hair shine spray
Out of all these products the one I was most excited about was their Topcoat for hair which claims to smooth, condition and add shine to your hair. I have really frizzy hair so this sounds like a product I will love. It is also a heat protectant so that is an added bonus.
The nail polish colors I received are nothing out of the ordinary but they are very very pretty. I especially love the gray creme nail polish which is very opaque. The directions state to use 2 coats of it but I think you can totally get away with just one.
They also included a really cute piece of chocolate which is in the shape of a muscular man. I love when companies add little details like this to their packages.
I also really love how the packaged everything. Everything came inside a clear bag filled with red and gold confetti. Super cute.
Over all I am very impressed with this company and I think $19.99 is a good price for monthly subscription. I am not sure if I am going to continue ordering from them but I did want to give them a try. I do think $19.99 is worth it because you get 2 full size nail polish plus another one of their products.
I believe you can still this deal. Enter the code: OSCARINTRO during checkout to receive free shipping and your first box for only $1
Have you ordered from Julep Maven?
