Hey Guys! This is my latest DIY project I have done. I was doing my makeup on a rush and reached for my eyeshadow drawer. I had a hard time looking for a particular shade and found some shades I forgot I had plus my drawer are those clear plastic one. When I pushed it in my drawer slightly broke and I immediately knew I had to depot them or give some away.
Truthfully, I didn`t wanted to spend $20 on a z-pallet so I went on a hunt for a DIY eye shadow palette. I some videos on youtube on how you can use your cd case but that was to small. I saw another video of turning a dvd case but it was too wobbly it wasn`t sturdy enough. So I went to my local dollar store to see if I can find something. I went to the office supply and carft aisle and saw a pencil case. I was thinking I can use this. Then I decided to look around the kitchen aisle but had no luck. Then I past the baby aisle and saw this wipey travel case and it was exactly what I needed! Something large but not to tall. So I bought 2 wipey containers.
This is what I did:
I cut a thin cardboard like paper and place it inside the container. After I depotted the shadows I used hot glue gun and glued them to the black card board. I know, I glued them. But you can also use a magnetic sheet and stick them, which I think its better but I couldn`t find one at my local store. After I glue them I put a layer of bubble wrap on the opposite side of the container just in case the shadows fall or if I drop the palette it will reduce the chance of them braking. Trust me I dropped it and the shadows didn`t brake. Since the container had a cartoon picture I decided to decorate with products I had at home. I cut and glued some ribbons and greeting cards to decorate them. I ended up just spending $2! A dollar for each wipey travel case! I think this is the best DIY that I have done thus far! Really like it and would recommend you to do it.
