Sport & Fitness » Want To Go To The Superbowl? It Will COST YOU!

It seems as if every year around this time people get a little crazy for football.....Crazy enough where they are willing to pay a pretty pay for some tickets just made of paper.....Throwing down a few hundred if not close to a thousand to sit on the top of the stadium, where literally your favorite team looks like little ants....

This Sunday, a ton of Giants and New England Patriots fans are still in awe, over the fact that their favorite teams hit the Superbowl....Not to mention the players, coaches and family must be the most happy, especially since their big checks are coming in!....

Tons and tons of fans will head to Indianapolis to see their favorite team go head to head with their competitor.......However it seems as if those tons of people who are making it to the Superbowl, have an advantage over everyone else......Money, fame, or luck.....

But you are in luck! ....It is possible for a regular person to get tickets to the Superbowl....If of course you have a ton of cash in hand, or a nice humongous check written out (with the memo "I'm broke now")..........And being a season ticket holder, really does not mean much.....Just because you are a season ticket holder, really does not mean anything......Not too long after the Gints clinched their Super Bowl bubble, ticket holders found out that their season tickets, did not mean that they were going to the big game.....So they held a lottery to decide which of their fans ticket holders would be able to go.....The value of $900 was not given to that many people really...

Here is a few ways to try to score some tickets, and burn some holes in your pocket:

Ticket Broker: Be prepared to spend a ton of money......To get into Lucas Oil Stadium, expect to spend at least $2,500 per ticket (thats more then peoples mortgages!)......Tickets at Stub Hub's are starting at $2,450 for just one individual seats....Circle City Tickets, has seats starting at $2,760 in the highest reaches of the stadium......SeatGeek where the average seat is $3,470..........

Oh did I forget to mention that tickets near the 50-yard line cost $16,200 per seat.....That is the cost of a car.....But I guess when you think about bringing a group of 4 people to the game, in some prime seats, your looking to spend $64,000.......Which literally makes that $16,200 look like chump change......Want a suite???....That will cost you $600,000, most peoples don't make that for over ten years.......

Oh and did you forget that not most people do not live near Indianapolis...Which means you need to figure out a way to get there. Travel agencies are offering packages that take care of your ticket, hotel, ground transportation and airfare. From Boston, packages start at $5,455 per person, and it takes the hassle out of your travel planning.....Hurray for that!

If you do not want to hand over nearly your yearly salary, there are other ways to save that cash....You can check out the circus of media day for just $38.....Or you can stop by the Super Bowl Village.....Want to enjoy food from every NFL city, go to the Taste of the NFL to enjoy food from every NFL city.....They have a Maxim party which will cost you at least $1,500, which may allow you to get close and up and personal to an NFL player.....

I got to admit back in the day for years on end I was a Cheerleader....And I will say I love watching football from time to time...My boyfriend watches it nearly every day, so I have no choice really but to watch it, and have to acquire some taste for it....I think I will save myself the $4,000 and watch the Superbowl from my house on my big screen tv...That includes free popcorn and apps, free seating, and free fun over the top Superbowl commercials......

Wow I can't believe that those are going for so much. I remember when they had the heritage hockey classic game in our city and even the world junior's tickets were quite pricey during the holidays, but not that expensive.

Holy crap that is so expensive for tickets. I'd never buy tickets to go nor would my man. I think some of the people that will buy them will expense them through their business as a work expense to take "clients" out lol.

Since our closing on the house is next week, I will not be spending the $$$$ to get tickets to the game :( I am however trying to win tickets.... My boyfriend & I are checking the internet daily and entering any contest we can to get tickets. I know it's a long shot, but we are both HUGE Giant's fans, and we almost went to see them in 2008.
