Sport & Fitness » Tips for Motivation to Work Out! (I have no motivation!)

So I would really like to start working out, but I have absolutely NO motivation! Part of it is because I have very bad asthma and any slight running wears me out and upsets my asthma. Also, I am very out of shape. Another reason why I get so tired so quickly.

So what would be the best way to get past this to start getting more active? What can I do to become more motivated to work out? Please let me know in the comments, it would be greatly appreciated! :]

When you first begin, it's best for you to make a schedule for when you will work out. For the next two weeks, it will be a matter of self discipline as to whether you keep with the schedule or not. I found it effective to put reminders on places that I visit frequently such as on my computer monitor or inside my binder at school to prevent me from working out. I will say from my experience, after the first two or three weeks of having a regular workout, it kinda just becomes part of your day, and it might even feel weird if the occasion rises where you can't workout.

i have several ways to motivate myself! first of all, if you're worried about being out of shape and embarrassed to go to the gym (like i used to be!), try streaming some workout videos on your computer and do it in the comfort of your home for awhile to gain some confidence. i also love listening to crazy dance music while i work out, it makes the time pass by more quickly! i also draw a little pink heart on my calendar for every day that i work out, and i try to fill up my calendar with as many hearts as possible. maybe you could even reward yourself for getting a certain amount of hearts, like buying a small something that you've wanted or something!

hope my tips helped! good luck with your fitness goals, i know you can do it! you will feel amazing once you start, i guarantee it!

I think you should start small by doing a 5 minute simple exercise routine and then gradually build it up day after day.
