Rock climbing is great exercise because it has a ton of benefits. It helps improve your heart health, tones your muscles, and helps you lose weight! It is definitely something I have always been curious to try. Well, maybe only indoor rock climbing since I am such a chicken.
If you like indoor rock climbing (and can afford it), there is the Treadwall! It is an indoor rock climbing treadmill that allows you to adjust the speed and angle of ascent. It is certainly safer than outdoor rock climbing since you don't go too far off the ground, but you're still getting the benefits. And you don't need a harness.
If I could afford it I wouldn't mind having something like this. It will definitely help me tone my muscles since it requires you to actually climb. As you can see from the pictures it's a great piece of exercise equipment for people of all ages! Even the kids are having fun!
Maybe I should try indoor rock climbing at my university's rec center...
