I might not know all the presidents and first lady's from the USA since im not American but ever since i remember, Michelle Obama has to be the first lady that has done more for health and exercise awareness in a long time, so she is spreading the "H" word - Health!
I have seen in the news different projects that she worked on and futures ones, like campaigns against child obesity, teaching children (and adults) how to pick healthier foods and to make everybody take a more healthy approach to food and exercise, so she is definitely taking advantage of her position to transmit a good message to all Americans.
Even just recently she had the change to tell Jay Leno to eat vegetables on his show. Jay Leno has said to not eat a vegetable ever since the 60's and the last apple he ate was in the 80's lol so she suggested some healthy dishes with vegetable and apple. Not only was an advice for Leno but good ideas for the viewers.
She also created the "Lets Move" , a program to help children learn about food and fight childhood obesity.
I think she is a great example and the fact that she took this cause and is fighting for it is very good because a lot of Americans and even the world, looks up to her and the fact that she transmits a message of health is very important.
What do you think of Michelle Obama and her fight for a better/healthy lifestyle and also fight childhood obesity?

Great post, thanks for sharing
I remember Leno not eating fruits or veggies haha but the First Lady has def been wonderful and such a good role model in promoting both eating right AND fitness... and America here is def number 1 in obesity.. it is messed up. And I also agree with Lilly M in educating the parents because it's a cycle.
Ana Claro: I agree, more first ladies should see the example and do something also, after all, everybody worldwide needs to take better care of their health
Lilly M:lool i know, its so strange to see someone that has touched a veggie/fruit in so long, but thats what he claims. And i say i don't eat enough fruit lol
I agree with you on the parents part, kids learn the behaviors and pick up on things that the parents do that they probably don't realize, even in terms of food. Parents keep allowing the kids to have what they want and eat sugar and all of that, so the kids end up thinking its ok. But sometimes the parents don't have such bad habits and the kids end up getting them from their friends in school, so its a bit complicated to target the fault but i do agree that parents should give the example in their eating and control more what their kids eat. Also, kids always get access to bad food on the street or schools, i remember we had vending machines as 95% of the stuff there were candy, cakes, soda, etc., so that should be something to be adressed also.
this is amazing!
I think it's great she's trying to promote healthy eating. All the fist ladies in the World should follow her example!
Wow I never knew Jay Leno hasn't eaten fruits and vegetables in that of a period. He must get super constipated haha. I think it's great she's trying to promote healthy eating. She needs to start with parents because they're the ones that can control what goes into their children's meals and snacks. I blame parents for a large portion of childhood obesity.
