I have joined the Live Well Challenge about two weeks ago that they have going on at my work. It is a 10 week long program to get us off our lazy butts and make that change in our life to be healthy!

But instead of going through it alone, you form a team within your department and compete with other departments for prizes. The prizes range from a keychain, tumbler to a free cooking class. And many more in between.

They offered two different types of challenges: eat right or move move. I choose to move more. You must track your aerobic activity to earn points. The minimum is 30 minutes, five days a week. But the maximum amount of points you can earn is 100.
There is also a chance to earn an extra 100 points a week by doing a 1 thing on the extra credit list. Once you have done that, you can not use the same extra credit activity again. This forces you to try something new a week.
I must admit this is a fun way of tracking my activity. it also feeds into my competitive side.
I also happen to be team captain so that's just that much more motivation for me to lead by example.
I will try to keep you updated at least once a week with my progress. The first week was just trying to ease into my workout routine. I would take walks on my lunch break and 2 mile walks on the treadmill in the evenings.
