I have mentioned before how fad diets can be very dangerous to a persons health and there is now a new crazy diet method for crash diets.
Its a feeding tube diet and its one of the craziest ones i have heard, i mean, at least the other crash diets involve food. This diet is called "“K-E diet" and it was done by a woman, that payed her doctor 1500$ to put her a feeding tube on her nose and be on a 800 calorie a day diet with 0 carbs.
After reading this all i can say is that everything seems wrong. Starting with the calories, no one should go that low, especially considering she didn't had a lot of weight to lose. Then there is the 0 carb part that is a wrong way to approach it because everybody needs carbs for energy, i mean, sure you can reduce then but not to 0 because thats not healthy.
And the main wrong thing about this is the method - the feeding tube. This is just wrong because no one should be getting feeding tubes unless they need them for health reasons and approaching weight loss like this is not healthy and she will most likely get her weight back and some more because she didn't learn about food, exercise and such a low calorie diet can do that.
I hope this doesn't become a bigger trend that what is now because its getting popular among brides that want to lose weight for their wedding and i think this should actually be forbidden.

I had feeding tube for 2 months and only thing i could say about this woman is - totally crazy ! I would never want to have this tube again.
This is INSANE! What is wrong with people? You need to eat. Your body needs at LEAST 1200 calories a day to run, you need to be active in order to lose weight, not starve yourself.

Bruno Silva: He is an idiot. He did it w/o his parents' consent, but he should still be old enough to realize that, or at least I think. Jay Leno mentioned this the other night on his show and made a joke afterwards saying, "well why would he do that? the iPad 5 is coming out soon. What is he going to then?" hahah I couldn't help but laugh.
Wouldn't that hurt to insert it or cause irritation or discomfort? I remember during my med lab orientation we did blood draws on patients and I saw a patient with a feeding tube and felt so sorry for them.

I didnt know what he used for 0 carbs because the article didn't specify =/ He probably used a different fluid bag.
It really is unbelievable the lengths that people go to for a quick fix.

Oh gosh! that Doctor should get fined! Feeding tubes suck! And they are temporary. The whole point of them is to restore nutrients into the body, slowly. It's full of sugar & carbs ( I have no idea how they got a 0 carb tube feeding bag), and make your poop watery and yucky smelling. The nose gets dried and chapped, you get sores from where the tape is. UGH! I can't believe people are doing this.
She must only lay in bed all day and only occasionally roll over because no human can live off 800 calories with today's lifestyle. Ridiculous.
