Jigokudani Monkey Park is part of Joshinetsu Kogen National Park in Japan. The word Jigokudani means "Hells Valley" in Japanese, due to the steam and the hot water that comes out of the crevices in an area that's quite hostile and cold otherwise. This park is home to about 200 Japanese Macaques or Snow Monkeys as some like to call them. The monkeys are wild so they advise visitors to not touch them or eat food near them. They spend much of the colder months in the valley near the hot springs and forage for food in other parts of the park in the warmer months. I am a big animal lover and would love to visit here during the winter months. Look how chilled and relaxed they look in the hot springs. That looks like the life. I am not going to lie I want to pet the one in picture 4, he/she looks so soft haha.

LOL the monkeys look like they're wearing little fur coats! ^^ I would love to go to Japan and see the Snow Monkeys. There is so much to see in Japan! I want to see Okinawa, too, as it's supposed to have a tropical climate. :)

Awww...Cootchie cootchie coo! The 4th one looks like he's wearing a helmet lol. Their habitat is so unique. I would love to see them in person but would be afraid they'd snatch something from me.

I've been to Banff hot springs before and it was alright. The monkeys are so cute. They do look like they want to be pet haha, then you'd end up with a bite and need to go to the hospital to get some sort of shot.
