One of the most unforgettable trips I've had was going to the northern places in Ilocos Region of the Philippine Islands, particularly in Kapurpurawan Rock Formation. Yes, the view was to die for. Yes, it's nothing like I've ever seen in my life. And yes, I slipped on my butt and scraped my left forearm.

Okay, embarassing note aside, this is really a gorgeous place. We had to go through literally a rocky road, then walk downhill, then walk some more. I didn't expect this to be a part of our trip back then but I'm so thankful to the driver that he took us to this wonderful spot!

First you'll see a terrain that I could equate to a LOTR scenery. Further down the walk you'll find an area of what seemed like bonsai and small puddles here and there. THEN you'll see the actual Rock Formation. Now be careful, this is the part where I slipped!

You'll see gorgeous rock formation, lush greens to the left, then the magnificent waves on the right. Ahh, I CAN'T STRESS ENOUGH how wonderful this place is.

I had photos of this but I decided to look up and share from a better source because I only had a crappy camera phone then and it would do NO JUSTICE to this place's amazing beauty. This is in my top 5 list of must-see places in the Philippines.
