Due to the current economy, several families (including mine) have been effected either through lowered pay, or no job at all. But, my family still wanted to get away this spring vacation, just so that we could enjoy nature, and get a break from the loud and crowded city. So, we decided to go to Joshua Tree. Located just behind Palm Springs, a lot of people don't even know that this beautiful national park exists, meaning very low prices. It's a huge national park, filled with thousands of Joshua Trees, and hundreds of hiking trails. Not only is it beautiful there, but the hotels are very inexpensive, and if you want to go even cheaper, you can even go camping in one of the several beautiful camp grounds, located right in the park! Groceries are also cheaper, so buy your food when you get there! During the day you can enjoy hikes, varying from very easy to severe, and at night you can cook your own food, or enjoy some delicious food at the many restaurants in the city. At night, be sure to drive back into the national park, where you can gaze at millions of stars, for hours on end.

Located only 2 hours from Los Angeles, Joshua Tree can easily be your next unforgettable, and inexpensive vacation.
