So back in March I went to the Ice Hotel located in Quebec City with my boyfriend. I've always wanted to go to an Ice Hotel and when I heard there was one in Canada, I knew I had to go and experience. While we were driving there we stopped in Montreal to grab something to eat before going to the Ice Hotel. We didn't check into the hotel until 1am (I know so late!). So we checked in and the front desk lady gave us keys to a huge locker where we store our things because in our rooms there isn't a door so anyone can steal your stuff. The door has just a curtain covering it. After putting our things in the locker and getting ready for bed, we went to explore the hotel. We saw a few people in the hot jacuzzi which is located outside the hotel so I can imagine people freezing their butts off when they got out of the jacuzzi. There's a cool ice slide which is fun! Oh yeah, everything is made out of ice/snow. But there's a place you go to, to shower, use washroom etc. So we go to our room and there's just 2 beds a table and a candle. All the nicer rooms got booked :( The nicer ones had a fireplace in the rooms. You only sleep in sleeping bags which I found surprisingly warm and comfortable. If I had the chance to experience this again, I wouldn't. It's something you only need to try once.
