My husband and I are planning to finally bring our kids to Disney next year. We have been there once as a couple (don't know why because we were 2 grown ups with no children back then).
I don't know what to expect as far as how much to put aside for a family of 6. I need a little suggestion as to how to make the stay a little more pleasant...as less stress as possible; Has anyone been there lately and can suggest where to stay and so forth? Do we need car rental or is it not necessary?

Thank you, I will look into Disney Value resort. I'm going to the one in Orlando, not lucky enough to go to Paris.

You are lucky!!! You should try going to a hotel with free bus service. Then there is no need for a car!

I've been in Disneyland Paris! And I love it, and there's a nice place for you.. Take food and drinks if you don't want to spend a lot of money, because you will spend in toys and others! I'm in love with disney!

if you want less hassle. consider staying at a Disney Value resort. they provide transportation to and from hotel and even the airports.
