Ok so I have no internet and no cable.. I'm posting this from my torch (3 G network) thank god for unlimited data ! Long story short my dad doesn't like paying bills so I have to suffer.. No hockey till like .. Oh god knows when. I'm going to be a miserable grumpy person till I get my tv or internet back anyways! I need help I know u can use yr phone as a modem but how?? I keep getting error network protocol and when I tried what forums said it either didn't work or when I created a new network it says unable to hear dialtone or something can you help me anyone? Oh and btw the pic above is my old bberry curve I'm using my bberry torch now :)

You will need the blackberry software on your computer. If you don't have it, you can download it from their website I believe. Or maybe your cell phone company has it on their site. I don't know what phone company you use, but T-Mobile does. Also, if you don't have T-Mobile (because I know its free with them, I have them), you may want to contact your phone company to see if you can. With my phone company (T-Mobile), they no longer actually walk you through setting it up anymore (no idea why), but instead they have you go to their website and search the forums. Thats how I did it. I wish I remembered the steps, but start with your phone company. I have a Blackberry 9700 and I'm using my internet through my phone as I type. :-)

Use ur blackberry desktop software on your computer. It has to be the updated version of it though. Connect your berry and there should be a button to "tether" your berry. That way your berry can use the internet from your phone's unlimited data =)
