Despite a long break from professional golf due to personal problems, the world's number one golfer was back in major tournament play, and by all account still has his competitive drive.
Woods, who has not played in a major since last year, returned Thursday at the Masters in Augusta, Georgia. He displayed a different demeanor than the one he has conveyed in the past, giving children golf balls and signing autographs.
Nevertheless, he did display some of his famous emotions on the course, most notably when some of his drives off of the tee box veered into forested areas. Fortunately, many of these shots bounced back into the fairway.
Some luck.
