Finding decent video editors that are FREE is hard. I currently use Windows Live Movie Maker (on windows 7) and find it much worse than Windows Movie Maker (version 2.5... I think) which ran on my old Vista laptop. It takes an hour for about 2-3 GB to "prepare" itself JUST for you to begin editing it. Then once it's edited, it takes even longer than that to save it as a movie for you to then
upload (which also takes a while but there's nothing you can do about that).
iMovie isn't the best, most fantastic either (also have a macbook)... Final Cut Pro on a Mac is what really makes the good videos and that's something you need to pay for.
What do you use for a video editor? How much does it run for? and, do you love it? Let's help everyone (including me. haha.) out to make better videos and edit them faster!
This may not technically be Nautical (because I'm pretty sure nautical stripes are a horizontal pattern), but it is still really cute and really summer like. I love the little button bib front that ties at the top. I have one slightly similar from a few years ago that I got at Abercrombie and Fitch, but this is way cuter.
This one from BB Dakota. It sells for $52.99 but it's so
cute!!
Would you wear this? Do you love blue and white stripe tops too?
So as a lot of One Tree Hill fans may know, Sophia Bush (Brooke) and Austin Nichols (Julian... her on-screen husband) were in a real-life, off screen relationship. Well, while surfing around on Wiki last night to see what everyone on OTH may be going to now, I saw that Austin Nichols' page said 2006-2012 next to Sophia Bush under "partner". So I immediately went to her wiki to see too and hers
had the same with him. I went onto google to try to see if I could get any more info. Low and behold, they did split up in February.
It makes me so sad! They were so cute and their cuteness as an on-screen couple made it even better! At least they split after the show ended... but it would have been a little better if they waited until April when the show's done for good.
And for those who don't know, aside from being married to Chad Michael Murray (Lucas) in real life then getting divorced five months later, she also dated James Lafferty (Nathan) for a year or so while on a break from Austin. It was also rumored that Austin took the job on OTH to be with her, which he started in '08 when she then started up a relationship with James.
This may be a cosmetic pouch, but it would be such a perfect little clutch! I really kind of hate carrying a purse. It gets in the way when you shop, shoulder bags can slip of get in front of you, and you can't just leave it in a cart and walk away when you need to get something at the end of the aisle but don't want to take your cart all the way down because the aisle is too crowded.
I
first saw this a few years ago when Lorraine Stanick ( youtube.com/thecurrentcustom youtube.com/thecurrentboobies ) got a Prada top handle bag with a shoulder strap with this rouched design as well as this little pouch. She used it as a wallet/clutch, which is what I though it was until I was lurking around on the Prada site pining over all the beautiful bags that cost nearly a total of six of my car payments for my SUV.
This little pouch measures 7.87 inches long and 4.33 inches tall. It would be such a great little pouch to put a super slim wallet or card case, your phone, and some lip gloss or lipstick. It costs $280, but when you consider a Prada wallet is over $500 and all you can put in it is money, this is really pretty practical. By summer, I must own it.
What do you guys think of it? Would you pay $280 for it?
I really love stuff like this. A little indie, a little vintage, a lot of different. It's so cute! I don't really know where I would put it though.
This one-of-a-kind cabinet is made using a reclaimed wood door from an old European home. It measures 88 inches tall by 38 inches wide by 16 inches deep and sells for just under $2,500!
It's cute but I don't know where I would put it or what
I would use it for.
What would you use this for if you owned it?
I've stated before how I love when things are made with reclaimed wood. While this is made of reclaimed wood (cedar tree trunk), it has been distressed and whitewashed. The top of the table, however, is just simple plywood.
If I'm paying $6,000 for a table (though I really don't think I ever, ever would) I wouldn't want it to be made to look like it was older or different than it is. I
know that it has to be treated or somehting since it is a tree trunk, but... you know. I also wouldn't really want the top to be plain plywood.
Thing is, you could make this for yourself fairly easily for less than $100.
It's handmade in Pennsylvania and measures 30 inches high by 84 inches wide by 54 deep (I'm assuming that's maybe the tree trunk).
Would you pay $6,000 for a table? How much would you pay or this one?
It may be before a lot of members' time, but I used to LOVE that movie when I was little. This bed totally reminds me of it in some way. It's really called the "Forest Canopy Bed" but I think it should be the Secret Garden Bed. haha
This is handmade in the United States of Iron. It sells for over $5,000 and comes in King and Queen sizes but if they had a little twin for full size, it would
be so cute for a little girls room!
Would you have liked a bed like this when you were little? Or now? Do you remember The Secret Garden???
This is so different! I really want to live in a loft (like in an old warehouse or factory with old brick interior walls and cement floors or something) and this looks like it would go so well in a modern, masculine-like, reclaimed space kind of loft. It's not something I would personally own, even in a loft like that, but I do still think it would go well in it. It's called the Barnwood
Hanging Bed which makes me wonder if it's made from reclaimed wood from a barn... which is something I LOVE. It's not the environmentalist in me (because to be honest, the most I do is recycle) but I just think it's really cool to take something with a lot of history like that and put it into something else that can have a whole knew life and a whole new purpose.
I do have to wonder, when you go to get out, would it be a little like a hammock and swing a little bit? Or when you and your significant other... ahem... would it be a little awkward? haha.
This sells for $3,298 for a Queen size at Anthropologie.
What do you think of a bed like this. Would you ever own one?
Vitamin String Quartet is a HUGE (not by number, but by awesomeness) string quartet that does so many covers of different songs by different bands across all of the different genres of music. I came across them by accident a year or so ago and they really are amazing!
They have a nearly cult-like following. They're always uploading their covers to youtube (over 700 of them now) and have A
LOT of their covers in itunes.
I do have a lot of favorites from them like "Buddy Holly" from weezer, "Please, Please, Please, Let Me Get What I Want" The Smiths, "Heart Shaped Box" and "Come As You Are" from Nirvana, and a few others, but "Pumped Up Kicks" may now be up closer to the top of the list.
Maybe it's because I played the Violin for a few years when I was little, or was in the woodwind section of orchestral bands for years and years and thought I wanted to do it for a living, but I LOOOVE listening to string covers and Vitamin String Quartet is the BEST!
What do you think of string covers of songs?
I filmed a video a little bit aago sharing what I got when I went shopping today. I have an interview tomorrow morning and really didn't have anything cute to wear so I ran to forever 21 (since they're inexpensive) to get something good to wear. They didn't have ANY good pants though, so that led me to go to loft as well.
I picked up a blazer and two button down shirts (one dressy, one not
so much) at forever 21 and a pair of pants at loft.
